Integration Engineer

As an Integration Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in connecting carrier and customer data feeds, building internal tooling for Product Operations, and closing an immediate onboarding capacity gap for our B2B AI-powered supply chain platform. You'll work directly with messy integration engineering—handling ERP exports, shipment files, invoices, and third-party APIs that rarely match their documentation—while automating repeated tasks away to keep operations scaling smoothly. 

Location: 100% Remote (Philippines-based) 

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, UK business hours (GMT) 

Role Type: Independent Contractor 

Rate: Starting at Php850/hour (room for flexibility, depending on experience)

The company: You'll be working with an innovative UK-based tech startup whose AI-powered supply chain management software creates outcome-driven and smarter supply chains. The platform pulls complex data and leverages AI to monitor changes, test solutions, and respond to disruption in real time for mature and high-growth businesses. 

What you'll do: This is a high-impact engineering and customer-facing role where you will build and maintain messy integrations while ensuring seamless data onboarding. In short, you'll bridge the gap between technical data engineering, internal product operations, and customer technical teams. 

Integration Engineering & Data Onboarding 

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot connections for carrier and customer data feeds across ERP exports, shipment files, invoices, and third-party APIs. 
• Work with messy third-party data, resolving missing fields, changing schemas, bad encodings, and mixed units. 
• Design, build, and deploy internal tooling, configurations, and templates to automate repeated manual onboarding tasks away. 
• Perform thorough data investigation and data-feed triage using Python and SQL. 

Technical Collaboration & Operations 

• Build internal tools and support workflows needed by the Product Operations team. 
• Partner with lead engineers for day-to-day technical direction while maintaining a dotted line to Product Operations. 
• Maintain clean codebases and contribute to API-client improvements and integration reliability. 

Customer Engagement & Communication 

• Lead technical sessions with customer technical teams to explain data discrepancies, API requirements, and integration challenges in plain language. 
• Run technical calls effectively, providing clear written and spoken updates to both internal stakeholders and client teams. 

About you: 

• Legally eligible to work in the Philippines as an Independent Contractor 
• 2–5 years of hands-on software or integration engineering experience, with named third-party systems you have connected in production 
• Mid-level proficiency in Python and solid SQL skills to investigate and solve complex data problems 
• Hands-on REST API experience covering authentication, pagination, retries, and rate limits 
• Proven track record of working with messy third-party data and automating manual steps using tools, templates, or scripts 
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with external teams 
• Uses AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) routinely and can validate/verify generated code output 

Bonus points: 

• Experience with logistics, freight, parcel, or supply-chain data workflows 
• Familiarity with warehouse and data tools such as BigQuery or dbt 
• Experience handling EDI, carrier, or 3PL integrations 
• Background in technical onboarding or implementation engineering at a fast-paced B2B SaaS startup
