Ceribell is a medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions. The Ceribell System is a novel, point-of-care electroencephalography (“EEG”) platform specifically designed to address the unmet needs of patients in the acute care setting, and is being used in hundreds of community hospitals, large academic facilities and major IDN's across the country. Ceribell is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our core research and product development activities. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal communications, and be team-oriented. This role will assist in implementing mechanical designs, conducting verification/validation/reliability tests, completing documentation and participating in DFX.
This contract position is for a term of 6-9-months. This role is hybrid and requires 3-5 days in our Sunnyvale offices.
- Help design mechanical parts and subassemblies that meet user, functional and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal R&D team members to ensure the design and manufacture of a successful product.
- Research and work with external suppliers to develop custom parts and ensure they meet requirements.
- Participate in risk management activities and work with the Quality team to develop verification and validation processes.
- Work with external testing laboratories to ensure product compliance and certification.
- Conduct reliability testing including drop, ingress, thermal and cycle.
- Produce extensive documentation including engineering drawings, bill of materials, tolerance analysis and design reviews.
- DFX: assist with assembly optimization, fixture design and line bring-up.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Science or Engineering
- Experience with medical device research and/or development
- 3+ years of experience with mechanical design and CAD tools
- 2+ years of experience with manufacturing and assembly process development

This is a temporary position employed through an Employer of Record (EOR). As such, this role is eligible for benefits provided by the EOR and is not eligible for the standard Ceribell corporate benefits package listed below.
A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
