Investment Research Analyst

At Cetera, we need analytical thinkers who are passionate about financial markets, investment research, and data-driven decision making. The Investment Research Analyst will support portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment strategy development through a combination of traditional investment research, quantitative analysis, and data insights. This role partners closely with portfolio managers and investment professionals to deliver actionable recommendations that support client outcomes and firm objectives.

What You Will Do

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on macroeconomic trends, asset classes, investment products, and market developments.
• Analyze investment opportunities and provide insights that support portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate investment strategies, risk factors, and return characteristics.
• Partner with portfolio managers and investment teams to develop research-driven recommendations.
• Automate data collection, validation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
• Develop reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor financial markets, economic indicators, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
• Stay current on advancements in investment research, financial technology, and data analytics tools.

What You Need to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in performing financial analysis, investment research, or quantitative analysis.
• Knowledge of investment concepts, portfolio theory, asset allocation, and capital markets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Prior experience within an RIA, asset management firm, wealth management organization, or financial analytics environment preferred.

The base annual salary range for this role is $92,000-$110,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
