Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Children’s Mental Health / EASA Therapist to provide direct treatment services in a clinic setting to clients with mental and emotional disturbances which includes children and parents. This position provides administration and evaluation of diagnostic tests, provides counseling and individual, family and/or group therapy, and develops individual treatment plans.
The position works as part of a transdisciplinary team to provide supportive, community-based services to youth and young adults ages 12-25 who meet criteria for the EASA program. In addition to providing services and support to youth and their families, the therapist provides training, education, and support to the team and community members as well as co-facilitating multi-family groups and other groups as appropriate.

The Requirements:
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.*
LCSW/LPC or willingness to pursue licensure preferred.
Two years of relevant mental health experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would qualify the individual to be designated as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
CADC and/or other alcohol and drug certification/experience preferred or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.- Upon completion of Masters, must be credentialed as a mental health investigator or willing to pursue credentialing.
Experience in behavioral health care working with adolescents and young adults.
Experience with DSM-5 diagnoses and best practice treatment interventions for a variety of mental health conditions.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass all criminal history check requirements and drug screenings.
Essential Functions:
Interview clients, families and others to accumulate information for diagnostic purposes.
Provides individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy.
Conducts diagnostic assessments; prepares clinical evaluations and interprets results for the family and other agencies.
Develops individual treatment plans, which may include individual, group therapy and skills training; develops individual goals and methods to attain those goals; analyzes client progress.
Expected to work with considerable independence regarding methods and processes, and to coordinate and collaborate with the school system and multiple agencies.
Participates in inter- and intra-agency conferences with staff members involved with the individual’s case.
Maintains individual case records with progress notes and other pertinent information regarding the diagnosis, treatment plan or termination; completes reports as required.
Conducts emergency intervention and crisis counseling.
Participate on the Crisis Team rotation for back up of night time and day time crisis workers.
Outreach and engagement, screening, assessment, diagnosis and strengths-based treatment planning, education and support for individuals and systems.
Crisis support and relapse prevention planning, independent living skills development, benefits planning, support for educational and vocational settings.
Perform quarterly data responsibilities for the EASA program.
This position caseload average is 25 clients (not limited to EASA) and will have protected time each week for clinical and administrative duties.
