About the Role
~1 min read- Execute daily device compatibility testing across a wide range of enterprise handheld devices
- Perform device qualification and burn-in testing using defined procedures; document pass/fail results and escalate anomalies.
- Validate new firmware and new hardware releases prior to field deployment confirm functional and performance requirements are met.
- Create and manage Jira tickets
- Troubleshoot hardware and charging issues using lab tools (DMM, bench supply, USB analyzers; oscilloscope as needed).
- Research new devices (specs, charging behavior, accessories) to determine likelihood of ARC compatibility.
- Write and maintain SOPs, support memos, and test procedures to enable Ops/Support to consistently validate and support devices in the field.
- Keep the test lab operationally ready by maintaining supplies, managing device/cable stock, and preparing test setups for daily compatibility testing and release validation.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 0–3 years experience in hardware testing, lab work, validation, or electronics troubleshooting (internships count).
- Comfortable reading datasheets and schematics; familiarity with PCBs and common electrical concepts.
- Hands-on ability with lab tools: multimeter, bench power supply, USB analyzers, oscilloscope.
- Basic hands-on skills: soldering and wiring for simple rework/debug setups
- Strong documentation skills
- You are a strong communicator, attentive listener, and compelling explainer with the ability to focus on a problem, ask the right questions, and gain expertise quickly.
- Self-motivated and organized, you must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A strong bias for action and a "get it done" attitude. You are never satisfied with the status quo.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience validating firmware (reading logs, regression testing).
- Experience with USB charging standards, DC power management circuitry, and related testing methodologies.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and embedded systems for Arduino/Raspberry Pi for quick debug instrumentation.
- Experience with 3D CAD software
- Experience working at the intersection of hardware and software is a big plus.
- Experience working at a startup is a plus
