The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking experienced, dependable, and compassionate professionals to join our Flexible Residential Support Team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.
As part of our flexible staffing pool, you'll work across multiple residential homes, providing essential support where it's needed most while expanding your skills and experience in diverse program settings.
As a member of CHD's Flexible Direct Care Staff Pool, you will receive orientation and training across multiple residential homes to prepare you for success in different program environments. This cross-training allows you to:
- Build familiarity with various residential settings, teams, and individuals served.
- Develop a broader range of direct care and behavioral support skills.
- Increase your shift opportunities and scheduling flexibility.
- Provide seamless support across homes when staffing needs arise.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities.
- →Administer medications in accordance with MAP guidelines.
- →Support community participation and recreational activities.
- →Promote independence, self-advocacy, and choice.
- →Implement behavioral support strategies and safety protocols.
- →Build positive, professional relationships with individuals served.
- →Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements
~1 min read- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between residential sites
- Successful completion of all background screening requirements
- Reliable smartphone or device for scheduling and communication with Teams app
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Location: Springfield, MA and surrounding communities
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
- Hold an active MAP Certification
- Maintain current Safety-Care, CPR, and First Aid certifications\
- Be willing to work in multiple residential homes
- Complete required site-specific training and orientation
- Commit to working a minimum of 8 shifts per month
- Remain current with all CHD-required training
