• 4 years of experience in surgical services area with relevant sterile processing and instrument maintenance experience

• N/A

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Sterile Processing Certification or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), within 365 days of hire

• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of surgical instruments

• →Researches instrument requests for replacements and provides substitution suggestions, and completes value analysis submissions for new instruments.
• →Coordinates vendor visits and education.
• →Maintains accurate files and data on all instruments purchased.
• →Orders, receives, and coordinates all instruments, including loaner trays and consigned items, including updating of instrument tracking software.
• →Works with surgeons, service line coordinators, and technologists to assess inventory instrument needs and proactively orders frequently needed replacement instruments to have on hand.
• →Assembles accurate and complete surgical trays.
• →Inputs instrument and tray products into instrument tracking system.
• →Contributes to opportunity for improvement identification and process improvement within the Sterile Processing department.
