Covenant Kids Lead, Tucker

This role partners with the Children's Pastor to lead the Covenant Kids ministry, serving as its public face while recruiting, training, and leading a team of volunteers at the Tucker campus. It also oversees implementation of curriculum, logistics, and special events that support Sunday programming and ministry growth.

• Establish a Covenant Kids lead team of top volunteers to own and oversee their ministry areas. 
• Recruit, interview, vet, train, schedule and oversee volunteers to serve effectively in various ministry roles, such as leaders, assistants, and weekday helpers.
• Work alongside the Covenant Kids Coordinator to convert prospective volunteers through the onboarding workflow process into classroom roles through in-person meetings and other reminders.
• Retain, coach, and engage volunteers by recognizing contributions, offering ongoing training opportunities, and ensuring they feel valued throughout their service term.

• Recruit,  Encourage,  Develop and Retain  a lead team of volunteers within the ministry who will:
• • Oversee the schedule to fill key ministry roles within Covenant Kids
  • Train new volunteers in specific ministry age-groups
  • Build disciple-making relationships with the children in this ministry
• Lead the ongoing recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling  and management of Covenant Kids volunteers.
• Provide direction, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring each room and role is adequately staffed and equipped for ministry work and child safety.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment by implementing and maintaining child safety policies and procedures.

• Oversee facility maintenance, check-in processes, and preparation of curriculum and games for Sunday programming.
• Collaborate with ministry staff to plan, evaluate, and improve weekly programming and processes.
• Collaborate with other ministries to plan for their childcare needs

• Plan and execute special ministry events alongside the entire Covenant Kids Team, such as Kids Camp, Big Day Out, Kids Reach the World, and kids singing in service twice a year, ensuring meaningful experiences and smooth logistics.

• Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree preferred
• Preferred at least 1 year of admin experience
• Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church’s statement of beliefs
• Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)
