The role

You will be part of due diligence processes for national and international companies. You will provide regulation acquiescence to the team about topics related to compliance and related areas, within the context of regulatory compliance due diligence covering Peru, Mexico, the USA, and Spain.

What you will do:

• Review and validate documentation supporting evidence of compliance with regulatory requirements as part of Due Diligence processes in Peru, Mexico, the USA, and Spain.
• Analyze regulations, case law, and legal risk factors to inform decision-making and mitigate potential liabilities.
• Develop strategies to identify, prevent, and manage risks related to money laundering and terrorism financing (AML/CFT) recommendations.
• Review contracts, agreements, reports, and other legal documents.
• Stay up to date on national and international regulations related to compliance matters.
• Coordinate with Compliance professionals in our Customers regarding the status and findings directrly.
• Promote a culture of compliance within the team.
• Verify that vendors maintain adequate documentation substantiating their compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams on questions related to the Prevention System and applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare reports with findings and recommendations for improvement for the party being analyzed.
• Provide legal advisory support throughout the Due Diligence process for the client's B2B Stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Law
• Internship with letter of recommendation in a law firm or big4 (preferable)
• Compliance or similar roles within B2B environments.
• Knowledge of Due Diligence, Compliance, and AML/CFT regulations.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• High attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information.
  
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.

For your consideration:

After the review you will generate 2 assesments:

1) Improvement recommendations for the tested party in order to be compliant with the local regulation.

2) Compliance Risk Assesment of the tested party to the company requiring the due diligence and Compliance Analysis on the Decision makers of the tested party.
