Rate: Starting hourly rate - without experience: $30.25 & with experience: $32.53

Primary Duties

The primary duties and responsibilities of a Police Officer include the prevention and suppression of crime, the investigation of offenses and the arrest of offenders, the protection of life and property, and the preservation of the peace.

• This is a safety sensitive position

Requirements

Job Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen
• Must have either a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum age of 21
• Valid driver's license
• U.S. Military Service Or
• A minimum of 64 hours of college credit, Criminal Justice is preferred

Selection Process Requirements, applicants must pass:

• Written Exam
• Oral Interview
• Physical agility testing
• Background investigation
• Polygraph
• Psychological exam
• Chief's Interview
• Mayor's Interview
• Pre-placement physical and drug screen exams
