 GENERAL NATURE OF WORK: This is un-skilled work responsible in assisting the day-to-day activities of the Cart Fleet.  An employee in this class reports directly to the Golf Professional for daily instruction, schedule and general duties.

 

EQUIPMENT & JOB LOCATION: This position requires customer relation skills consistent with management goals.  This person must have ability to understand general direction regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the golf cart fleet. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Understands and can effectively use all related equipment for golf cart cleaning and maintenance. 
  • Responsible for cleaning, staging, storage of all golf carts, and practice range ball cleaning and storage.
  • Must be able to relate to all customers in a consistent and friendly manner.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and stand during shift.
  • Ability to perform physical functions, including ability to lift objects (weight up to 50 lbs.).
  • Maintains a neat and sanitary work environment.
  • Maintains personal hygiene to departmental standards. 
  • Follows all opening and closing duties.
  • Communicates with management regarding issues with the golf shop or carts.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

 

ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Operates equipment as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.



DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or the equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.

 

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work other than normal working hours, and to work various shifts as necessary. 
  • Ability to be bonded.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain after employment CPR/First Aid Certification
