DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors and supporting the operation of recreational programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Experience in office/clerical work is preferred.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and office equipment is preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events or increased workload.
- Enthusiasm for community engagement and promoting recreational activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of basic marketing and graphic design concepts.
- Skills in strong multitasking and organization.
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to handle basic math and cash transactions.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Greet and assist visitors, providing information on programs, events, and facility amenities.
- Process registrations, memberships, and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Manage phone inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date participant records and registration databases.
- Assist in coordinating schedules for facility rentals, classes, and program activities.
- Handle cash transactions, maintain petty cash, and reconcile daily financial reports.
- Prepare and distribute promotional materials for recreation programs and events.
- Work with staff to ensure the proper operation of the recreation center.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support the planning and execution of special events and activities held at the recreation center.
- Other duties as assigned
This position is an essential service position and will require providing services during emergency situations.
