Responsibilities
~2 min readThe primary responsibility of the Collections Manager is to manage the entire collections process for all customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, effectively reducing outstanding AR, mentor the collections team, and enhance collection strategies. As well as other duties assigned.
This position reports to the Accounts Receivable Director of SAMBA Holdings, Inc., or to other supervisors as assigned.
To be successful in this position the candidate will perform the essential job duties below with minimal supervision.
- →Collections Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the collections function, including monitoring collection efforts, reducing overall accounts receivable balances, and ensuring timely follow-up on past-due accounts.
- →Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, train, and develop collections staff, ensuring team members have the knowledge, tools, and support needed to perform their roles effectively and achieve departmental goals.
- →Billing and Collections Support: Manage and support the Accounts Receivable Clerk in handling customer billing and collections inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and a high level of customer service.
- →Dispute Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for complex collections issues, customer disputes, and payment-related concerns, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive resolution.
- →Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, Onboarding, and other departments to address and resolve complex account issues, improve cash flow, and support customer retention.
- →Portfolio Management: Directly manage and collect on a select portfolio of strategic or “white glove” customer accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.
- →Performance and Reporting: Monitor key collections metrics, aging trends, and team performance, identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased collection effectiveness.
- →Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to improve collections efficiency, reduce delinquency, and enhance overall accounts receivable performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Collections
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Management Position
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and critical thinking
- Must have a team player mindset with adaptability to monitor own work
- SaaS experience preferred
Requirements

- Proven experience at successfully developing & strengthening management controls and operational processes.
- Strong process management skills
- Demonstrated ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results
- Results-oriented to ensure delivery of operational and financial objectives
- Hands-on leader
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with intermediate/advanced Excel skills
