The Platform Architect is a technical leadership role supporting 11:11 Systems customers and specializing in network and security platforms. The role provides subject-matter expertise to design, implement, modernize, and operate scalable, secure, resilient networking solutions aligned with customer objectives, contracted SLAs, industry best practices, and high- and low-level design standards. The role works directly with customers and cross-functional teams to improve availability, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, service quality, automation, responsible AI use, and the accuracy of architecture and SLA documentation. This is a full-time remote role, based in India reporting to the Sr Manager, Platform Architecture.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Develop a deep technical understanding of each customer’s networking, security, cloud, virtualization, and service interdependencies; act as a trusted technical partner and subject-matter expert in architecture, optimization, modernization, and enterprise network and security domains.
- →Act as the highest point of technical escalation across networking, cloud, and security.
- →Provide expert resolution and, when required, hands-on support for incidents, changes, complex requirements, customer engagements, and root-cause analysis.
- →Design and validate failover and failback strategies spanning DNS, virtualization, cloud, security, routing convergence, IP re-mapping, and related dependencies to meet contracted RTO/RPO objectives.
- →Develop and maintain disaster-recovery strategies and detailed procedures for both at-time-of-test and at-time-of-disaster scenarios; validate execution and alignment with overall SLA fulfillment.
- →Create, review, and maintain high-level and low-level designs, architecture diagrams, standards, runbooks, recovery configurations, and other technical documentation.
- →Contribute best practices and white papers to the 11:11 knowledge base.
- →Plan and lead proofs of concept to identify gaps, validate technologies, improve solutions, and document recommendations and outcomes.
- →Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, operations, service management, security, Sales, and customer-facing teams to improve service availability, reliability, performance, and SLA outcomes; identify customer expansion opportunities with Sales when appropriate.
- →Use automation and approved AI responsibly to improve solution design, delivery, disaster recovery, lifecycle management, cyber resilience, documentation, dependency mapping, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and observability.
- →Validate AI outputs and protect company and customer information.
- →Own technology lifecycle activities, including version validation, patching and upgrade planning, technology refresh, decommissioning, contract changes, maintenance of production and recovery configurations, and related risk management.
- →Develop effective relationships with customer subject-matter experts; create, present, and lead technical training for colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers.
- →Follow all company, departmental, information-security, and data-protection policies.
- →Maintain need-to-know access, help prevent unauthorized access or damage, and promptly report security weaknesses and incidents to the appropriate personnel, including Security.
- →Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11's Code of Business Ethics and Company Values
- →Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies
- →Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements

Requirements
~2 min read- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- 8+ years of professional IT experience with demonstrated enterprise or technical architecture/engineering experience in complex networking and security environments.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting disaster-recovery networking, network isolation and clean-room architectures, and brownfield and greenfield network environments.
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, CATO, Fortinet, VMware NSX, virtualization, storage/replication connectivity, capacity planning, and traffic engineering.
- Advanced networking & security: Strong expertise in enterprise/data-center networking, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, IDS/IPS, HA, and secure network design.
- Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BFD, multicast, PBR, MPLS, VRFs, L2VPN, VLANs, VXLAN, STP/RSTP/MST, vPC/VDC, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, LACP, QoS, route filtering, and traffic engineering.
- Cloud architecture expertise across AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI: VPC/VNet, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, VPN, peering, routing, security controls, load balancers, monitoring, hybrid/multi-cloud, and cloud DR.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or automation frameworks, such as Terraform, AWS CLI, and Azure CLI, and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, SASE, segmentation, cyber recovery, EDR/XDR, WAF, CDN, DNS, and backup/replication solutions such as Veeam, Zerto, Cohesity, and Carbonite.
- Ability to use approved AI tools responsibly, validate AI outputs, recognize limitations and potential inaccuracies, and protect company and customer information.
- One or more relevant technical certifications, such as Cisco CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, Palo Alto Cybersecurity Practitioner, Fortinet NSE, CATO CCA, or F5 CA/CTS preferred.
- ITIL, TOGAF, or another recognized IT governance or enterprise-architecture certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Customer partnership and service orientation.
- Clear written and verbal communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
- Analytical problem-solving, sound technical judgment, and risk awareness.
