Reporting to the Solar Site Supervisor, the Solar Groundman is responsible for vegetation maintenance and abatement. The primary objective is to ensure upkeep and appearance of outdoor environments, including grounds and landscaping at our solar sites. This position would be supporting the Kansas South Solar Site located in Lemoore, CA.

Responsibilities

→Conduct vegetation maintenance and abatement on solar power generation plants.
→Conduct routine maintenance and repair of vegetation management equipment including, but not limited to mowers, tractors, string-trimmers, hedge trimmers, rotary cutters, tractor implements, and hand tools.
→Uses various hand tools and gas-powered tools to mow and maintain grass, rake leaves and get grounds ready for seasonal changes.
→Ensure that all co-workers and contractors demonstrate safe work practices during the performance of facilities management activities.
→Ensure that assigned vehicle, tooling, electrical devices, software, and company property are maintained.
→Maintains walkways, parking lots, and solar equipment by removing snow and ice.

High School Diploma or GED
General mechanical aptitude
Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Clear understanding of safe workplace practices and procedure.
Must have the ability to travel to and from solar sites, work on-call during off-shift hours, and weekends.

1-2 years of similar facilities management experiences (preferred but not required)

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations

$47,000—$55,000 USD
