Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate Family Home providers to welcome an adult with an intellectual disability into their home as part of their family, whether for short-term or extended support. The Family Home Program recruits and screens families of all types who live in the community. Experience in developmental services is an asset but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and secure place to live
- Ensure an enhanced quality of life
- Provide support based on the person’s needs
- Support the person to participate in their community
- Be an active part of the person’s support team
- Complete a screening process, including a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Requirements:
- Can be single or a couple
- Can own or rent their home
- Will receive support and training
- Are paid a monthly per diem rate, including room and board
- Provided with relief and vacation time
