Click&Boat is a rental platform product of Boats Group, the fastest-growing digital business in the recreational boating space. We are a talented team of techies, creatives, marketers, closers and customer advocates who spend each day pushing the boundaries of technology to make buying, selling & renting boats easy.
Click&Boat is the European leader in boat rentals, with over €170M in annual GMV and a community of 2.4M+ registered users across 150+ countries worldwide. Our marketplace makes boating accessible around the globe, from a day trip to a week-long adventure, while enabling private and professional boat owners to generate additional income through rentals.
To support this growth, we are hiring a Head of CRM to own and accelerate the full lifecycle strategy for our marketplace, based in our Barcelona office.
We're looking for a Head of CRM to join our crew in Barcelona.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end CRM and lifecycle strategy for Click&Boat, covering both our renters and boat owners. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead a team of 3 CRM specialists and take full ownership of how we engage, convert, and retain users across the entire customer journey.
CRM is already a meaningful contributor to our revenue, driven by automated lifecycle scenarios and manual campaigns. Your mission is clear: significantly accelerate that contribution by scaling automation, deepening personalization, and building new retention and loyalty programmes. You define the strategy, own the execution, and measure the impact.
If you thrive in environments where autonomy, speed, and ownership define the work, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
Define and execute the global CRM lifecycle strategy across all customer segments (renters and boat owners), from onboarding and consideration to booking, post-navigation, and reactivation.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3 CRM specialists, setting clear objectives aligned with company goals and building a culture of experimentation and accountability.
Own the automation roadmap: improve existing lifecycle scenarios, design new ones, and continuously optimise through A/B testing and data analysis to maximise incremental revenue and user engagement.
Plan and execute manual campaigns and go-to-market communications (early booking waves, feature announcements, promotional offers) across markets and languages.
Drive complex segmentation and personalization leveraging user behavior data, working closely with Data and Tech teams to extract more lifetime value from our user base.
Manage channel mix strategy across email, push notifications, and SMS — and evaluate new channels such as in-app messaging to expand reach and effectiveness.
Own the CRM budget (~€400K including team and tooling), ensuring efficient resource allocation and measurable ROI on every initiative.
Evaluate and potentially lead a CRM platform migration, including vendor selection, implementation, and integration with our tech stack.
Design and launch a customer loyalty program to drive repeat bookings and long-term engagement.
Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly around AI-driven personalization, and identify opportunities to integrate new technologies into the CRM function.
8+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, or retention roles, ideally in a marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer tech environment.
3+ years of experience managing a team, driving performance through coaching, prioritization, and clear goal-setting.
Deep hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Braze or similar).
Data-obsessed and analytically rigorous: you build and read dashboards (Tableau or equivalent), design experiments, and turn user data into actionable insights.
Strong technical acumen, familiarity with HTML, basic coding, and data tools. You understand how data pipelines feed into CRM tooling.
A doer and problem-solver with a massive bias for action. You thrive in fast-paced environments where you roll up your sleeves with a small, high-performing team.
Excellent stakeholder management skills: you collaborate effectively with Product, Tech, Data, and business teams while minimizing dependencies.
Full proficiency in English is required.
🌊 Bonus points (great to have, never a dealbreaker)
Spanish or French language skills.
Experience with loyalty program design and implementation.
Familiarity with AI-driven personalization tools and their integration into CRM workflows.
A passion for the sea or boating, it always helps when you love what you're marketing!
