The Youth Pastor leads AHCC's middle school and high school ministry with a clear vision for discipleship and follow-through. This role keeps student ministry at AHCC focused on Jesus, well-led and worth showing up for. The Youth Pastor will provide consistent teaching, relational presence and organizational oversight, helping students, families and volunteers stay connected to the life and mission of AHCC. This is a full-time position.


RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this position include: MINISTRY TEACHING & LEADERSHIP
• Oversee all weekly programming for middle school and high school students, ensuring each gathering is welcoming and discipleship focused
• Articulate a clear vision for AHCC students and execute it with organizational follow-through.
• Teach regularly and create environments where students can know, love and follow Jesus
• Ensure a visible leadership presence at Sunday gatherings and actively participate in the broader life of AHCC


PARENT & STUDENT CARE
• Develop a plan for student care, spiritual growth and leadership development through groups, mentoring and discipleship rhythms
• Partner with parents to engage, disciple and invest in students


VOLUNTEER & TEAM SUPPORT
• Recruit, train and develop volunteers for a variety of student ministry roles (i.e. teaching, programming, admin, etc.) who love and disciple students
• Ensure volunteers have clear communication and expectations and given what they need to succeed

MINISTRY OPERATIONS
• Attend all staff meetings and Leadership Team trainings
• Ensure Safety & Security policies are followed in all youth ministry settings
• Collaborate with the Children’s & Family Director to ensure a cohesive approach to next gen ministry
• Manage the youth ministry budget
• Collaborate with other staff contributing to the broader direction of the church while representing student ministry


REQUIREMENTS
• A vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Demonstrates the spiritual calling, giftedness and maturity required of ministry leadership
• Ability to lead teams, organize programs and communicate effectively with both students and adults
• Experience in youth or family ministry leadership, paid or volunteer
• Teaching that consistently points students to Jesus
• An evangelistic heart and hospitable demeanor
• Genuinely bought into the mission, values and culture of AHCC


HOURS
40 hours per week


REPORTS TO
Lead Pastor


SALARY RANGE
Based on experience, training, skillset and education, this position’s salary range is between $60,000-80,000.
