Senior Software Engineer - LOS Platform Team
Quick Summary
Requirements and Stakeholder Partnership • Partners with business stakeholders to turn requests into requirements and testable acceptance criteria. • Turns observed issues into well-scoped work items.
the engineer directs AI agents (Claude Code and CMG’s in-house agentic SDLC) to write most new code and do much of the investigative work and owns the outcome.
Senior Software Engineer – LOS Platform Team
The LOS Platform Team builds and supports the tools and services that keep CMG’s loan origination system (LOS) operating day to day: the integrations that move loan data, the SQL Server databases behind them, and the automation and diagnostics that identify, predict and alert on errors.
This is a hands-on senior position with end-to-end ownership of the work, from defining requirements with the business to production deployment and support. Development is agentic first: the engineer directs AI agents (Claude Code and CMG’s in-house agentic SDLC) to write most new code and do much of the investigative work and owns the outcome. The systems themselves are conventional: a vendor LOS, SQL Server and established .NET services.

• Sees each change through to production deployment.
Production Support and Triage
• Triages and resolves production issues, telling code defects apart from data, configuration and infrastructure problems, and fixes each at the right layer.
• Reproduces issues before fixing them, using telemetry such as Application Insights, and documents findings clearly.
Agentic Development
• Directs AI coding agents: scopes tasks appropriately, gives the agent the right context, and judges whether its diagnosis is correct and the evidence supports the fix.
Platform Improvement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 7+ years of professional software development.

• Experience carrying work from stakeholder requests through requirements, architectural decisions and production deployment.
• Strong C# experience across both modern .NET and .NET Framework.
• A clear grasp of synchronous versus asynchronous design, from async/await in C# (what happens at an await, .Result/.Wait() deadlocks, when async brings no benefit) to system-level choices such as queueing, caching and retries, and their effect on consistency and failure handling. Candidates will be asked to explain and demonstrate this.
• A disciplined, evidence-based approach to debugging and triage.
• Production diagnosis with Application Insights or a comparable telemetry tool.
• SQL Server and T-SQL, including query tuning and controlled production data changes.
• Azure: App Service, Functions, Key Vault and Azure SQL.
• Proficient, daily use of Git.
