The Bush Clearing / Land Development Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating bush clearing, land preparation, earthmoving, and related land-development activities across the agricultural estate. The role will ensure land is developed safely, efficiently, and according to approved operational plans and project requirements.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Plan and supervise daily bush-clearing, land-development, and site-preparation activities.
- →Coordinate heavy-equipment operators, assistants, field workers, and other personnel involved in land development.
- →Monitor clearing, grading, earthmoving, and preparation of land according to approved work plans.
- →Coordinate deployment and utilization of bulldozers, excavators, graders, loaders, and other equipment.
- →Monitor daily productivity, completed acreage, equipment utilization, and operational progress.
- →Identify field constraints and coordinate corrective actions to minimize operational delays.
- →Maintain daily land-development records and prepare progress reports for management.
- →Ensure all activities comply with workplace health, safety, environmental, and estate operating requirements.
Requirements
~1 min read- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Land Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in land development, bush clearing, earthworks, agriculture, or construction, including supervisory experience.
- Good understanding of large-scale land clearing, earthmoving, site preparation, and agricultural land development.
- Practical knowledge of heavy-equipment deployment and productivity monitoring.
- Strong workforce supervision, planning, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate operational records and prepare progress reports.
- Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Experience supervising large-scale agricultural land-development projects will be an added advantage.
