Head Chemist

CNS Group is seeking an experienced Head Chemist to lead laboratory operations within a mining project in Madagascar. The role is responsible for managing laboratory analysis, ensuring quality control, and implementing accurate analytical procedures to support metallurgical and processing activities. This opportunity is open to Tanzanian professionals willing to relocate.

• →Manage daily laboratory operations and supervise lab personnel.
• →Ensure accurate and timely chemical analysis of samples.
• →Implement and maintain laboratory quality control systems.
• →Develop and standardize analytical procedures and methods.
• →Monitor and improve laboratory performance and efficiency.
• →Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• →Analyze results and provide reports to support plant operations.
• →Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• →Coordinate with metallurgical and plant teams.
• →Maintain proper documentation and reporting systems.

• Master's Degree in Chemistry (mandatory).
• 7+ years of experience in laboratory analysis (mining/metallurgical preferred).
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory procedures.
• Experience in laboratory management and team supervision.
• Strong understanding of quality control systems.
• Ability to implement and improve analytical processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English or French.
• Willingness to relocate to Madagascar.
