Laundry Attendant

CNS Group is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Laundry Attendant for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for ensuring all guest and hotel laundry services are completed on time and to the highest possible quality standards, supporting smooth and efficient laundry operations throughout all service periods. The ideal candidate should be a customer-driven, courteous individual with an outgoing and approachable character, strong attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding laundry service within a luxury hospitality environment.

• →Ensure all hotel and laundry department policies and procedures are followed consistently, maintaining compliance with operational standards and quality guidelines throughout all laundry activities.
• →Process and handle all guest garments, hotel linen, Food & Beverage linen, and staff uniforms with the utmost care, ensuring each item is laundered and finished to the highest possible quality standards.
• →Manage the proper care and operation of flat irons and laundry equipment, feeding Food & Beverage linen through the flat iron and ensuring all equipment is used correctly and maintained in clean working condition.
• →Fold bed sheets, towels, and linen items to hotel presentation standards, ensuring all finished items are neatly folded, correctly stored, and ready for distribution to the relevant departments.
• →Load and unload washing machines and dryers correctly, sorting washed laundry items accurately and ensuring each item is processed through the appropriate laundry cycle based on fabric type and care requirements.
• →Identify and sort heavily stained or damaged linen before processing, reporting any items requiring special treatment or replacement to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• →Maintain full awareness of hotel fire, safety, and emergency procedures, adhering to all safety protocols within the laundry department at all times.
• →Work with conscientiousness and precision to deliver the best possible results and quality of work, continuously seeking improvement in laundry techniques and operational efficiency.
• →Coordinate cooperatively with fellow laundry team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow, timely processing of all laundry items, and uninterrupted service delivery.
• →Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or department management in support of overall laundry operations and guest service excellence.

• Vocational training in Laundry Operations, Housekeeping, or a related hospitality field is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant in a hotel or hospitality laundry environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, linen handling, and laundry equipment operation is preferred.
• Ability to operate flat irons, washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment correctly and safely is recommended.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality laundry and linen finishing standards is recommended.
• Customer-driven and courteous attitude with the ability to work cooperatively within a multicultural laundry team is recommended.
• Experience working in a luxury hotel laundry department is an added advantage.
• Candidates from NCT and other hospitality institutes are encouraged to apply.
