Linen Runner

CNS Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Linen Runner for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for carrying out daily assigned duties within the linen room, supporting the housekeeping team in the timely distribution, collection, and management of linen, uniforms, and guest supplies across all hotel floors and outlets. The ideal candidate should be a friendly, hardworking, and physically fit individual with a willingness to go the extra mile and a strong commitment to maintaining luxury hospitality service standards.

• →Pick up dirty linen from hotel floors, Food & Beverage outlets, and assigned areas, sorting and transporting items to the laundry in accordance with hotel housekeeping procedures and linen management standards.
• →Deliver clean linen to guest floors, housekeeping pantries, and Food & Beverage outlets in a timely and organised manner, ensuring all areas are adequately stocked and ready for service at all times.
• →Deliver and pick up extra beds, rollaway beds, and baby cots to and from guest rooms as requested, ensuring all items are handled with care and placed correctly in accordance with guest requirements.
• →Pick up guest supplies and amenities from the general stores and distribute them to the appropriate housekeeping pantries and assigned areas to ensure uninterrupted supply availability across all floors.
• →Pick up water bottles and beverage supplies from the general stores and place them correctly in the designated floor pantries in accordance with hotel replenishment procedures.
• →Receive, record, and sort clean linen returned from the laundry, arranging items properly on shelves and racks within the linen room in an organised and accessible manner.
• →Ensure all linen and uniforms are properly stored, recorded, and accounted for within the linen room at all times, maintaining accurate inventory records as directed by the Linen Supervisor.
• →Report to the Linen Supervisor any misuse, damage, or loss of Food & Beverage linen and staff uniforms observed during collection, delivery, or storage activities.
• →Report any items in need of maintenance, repair, or replacement observed during floor rounds and linen distribution activities to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly.
• →Ensure the linen room is maintained in a clean, tidy, and well-organised condition at all times, adhering to hotel housekeeping cleanliness and operational standards.
• →Carry out any special duties and additional tasks as assigned by the Linen Supervisor or Housekeeping management in support of overall housekeeping operations.

• Vocational training in Housekeeping or a related hospitality field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a Housekeeping or Linen Room role within a hotel environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of linen management, housekeeping operations, and hotel supply distribution procedures is preferred.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle linen deliveries, push trolleys, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout extended shift periods is recommended.
• Friendly, caring, and dedicated personality with good cross-cultural sensitivity and a willingness to put in extra effort when required is recommended.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a multicultural housekeeping team in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment is recommended.
• Experience working in a luxury hotel housekeeping or linen department is an added advantage.
• Candidates from NCT and other hospitality institutes are encouraged to apply.
• Multilingual candidates will have an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English communication is required.
