Coastal Horizons is a recognized leader in behavioral health, substance use, prevention, and community-based services across southeastern North Carolina. We are looking for a Qualified Professional – School-Based to join our Child & Adolescent Day Treatment team in Pender County.

Official Job Title: Child & Adolescent Day Treatment Qualified Professional
Location: Pender County, NC
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–3:30 PM


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field.

  • Two (2) years of post-bachelor’s experience working with a mental health population.

  • Meets North Carolina requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 for a Mental Health Qualified Professional (QP). Two (2) years of documented experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Applicants must meet all required education and experience qualifications.


Responsibilities

    Provide individual and group therapeutic and skill-building interventions in school and community settings.

  • →

    Support behavioral functioning, coping skills, social skills, and educational success.

  • →

    Develop and implement Person-Centered Plans.

  • →

    Facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.

  • →

    Collaborate with families, schools, treatment providers, and community partners.

  • →

    Provide psychoeducation related to mental health and substance use.

  • →

    Monitor client progress and coordinate transitions to appropriate services.

  • →

    Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • →

    Perform approved physical restraints when clinically necessary and in accordance with required training and organizational policy.
