Robotics Data Collection Operator, Shift Lead - Santa Clara

This role is located at our Santa Clara, CA office. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

The role is full-time, with working hours between 7 AM and 3 PM PT or with working hours between 3 PM - 11 PM PT, Monday through Friday, depending on the candidate’s availability and business needs.

  Serve as a peer lead during assigned shifts by helping coordinate day-to-day data collection work, supporting and coaching teammates, answering questions, and escalating issues as needed to keep the team running smoothly.

  Manipulate robotic arms to perform a variety of assigned tasks while collecting accurate, high-quality data used to support AI and robotics development.

  Create and follow task prompts, troubleshoot issues, and use problem-solving skills to improve task execution and data quality.

  Use creativity to explore different approaches, scenarios, and task variations to help generate and valuable datasets.

  Learn from engineers across AI, software, test, mechanical, electrical, and related disciplines.

• Must be 18 years of age or older. This is an ideal role for recent STEM university graduates, or students enrolled in a STEM-related degree program.

• Demonstrated interest in robotics and/or engineering through school, personal projects, clubs (FIRST, VEX, Science Olympiad, etc.), or hobby work.

• Demonstrated experience leading a shift or team (e.g., shift lead, key holder, or peer coach/trainer) in retail, food service, or a similar fast-paced setting.

• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others.

• Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Enjoy working in a fast paced, collaborative and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.

• Must be able to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA, for either the day shift (40 hrs/week) or evening shift (40 hrs/week).

• Must have reliable transportation to the Santa Clara, CA office onsite.

• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

• Prior experience in robotics or engineering through school projects, personal builds, or clubs like FIRST, VEX, or Science Olympiad.

This full-time role is paid hourly at $22-$23/hr. This is an hourly, non-exempt position and is eligible for company-sponsored health benefits after 90 days of employment.
