We are a global payments and digital asset exchange business. As Head of Trading, you will own our FX strategy, market making strategy and the Philippines OTC/FX trading team. You will set how we price, source and manage liquidity across fiat and crypto, and you will be accountable for the desk's PnL and risk.
FX Strategy
Define and execute the FX trading strategy across our payment corridors and currency pairs, with a focus on PHP and other emerging-market currencies.
Manage pricing, spreads and execution quality for cross-border flows. Source liquidity from banks, LPs and other counterparties.
Work with Treasury on hedging and exposure management, so that trading and balance-sheet risk are managed together.
Market Making Strategy
Design, run and continuously improve our market making strategy for exchange order books, including quoting, inventory management, spread and risk parameters.
Manage relationships and agreements with external market makers and liquidity providers. Evaluate their performance and terms.
Work with Engineering and Product to develop and improve trading systems, pricing engines, algorithms and connectivity.
Philippines OTC / FX Trading Team
Build, lead and develop the PH OTC/FX trading team, including hiring, performance management and training.
Oversee OTC client pricing and execution, including large-ticket fiat and crypto trades.
Grow OTC volumes and client relationships in coordination with Sales and Business teams.
Risk, Limits & Governance
Establish and enforce trading risk frameworks: position limits, stop-loss, VaR, counterparty and concentration limits.
Ensure trading activity complies with applicable regulations (e.g., BSP requirements), internal policy, AML/KYC and market conduct standards.
Produce regular reports on PnL, exposure, volumes, spread capture and desk KPIs for senior leadership. Support audits and regulatory inquiries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Treasury, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Engineering to ensure trading operations are well-funded, compliant and operationally sound.
Support new market entries and product launches from a pricing, liquidity and trading perspective.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
10+ years of trading experience in FX, digital assets or market making, including 3+ years leading a trading team.
Proven track record of running profitable FX and/or market making strategies with disciplined risk management.
Deep understanding of FX markets, liquidity, pricing and execution, preferably including emerging-market and PHP flows.
Hands-on experience with market making or liquidity provision, such as inventory and spread management and order book dynamics.
Experience in OTC trading and managing institutional or large-ticket clients is strongly preferred.
Experience in a regulated payments, exchange, bank or trading firm environment. Crypto exposure is preferred.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Comfort working with data, pricing models and trading systems.
Established relationships with banks, liquidity providers, market makers and OTC counterparties.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Philippine regulations is a plus.
