This position is a lifestyle. Starting in the spring, it’s possible you’ll be on the road for close to 2 weeks at a time, with plenty of hours to work within the season so if you’re looking for LOTS OF WORK, this is a great opportunity. On days when the weather isn’t cooperating, you will still get hours while focusing on general maintenance & cleaning of the trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Promote, lead, and execute a Safety-First culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants in compliance with Miller Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) polices and contractual HSE obligation for the staff and public are met
- →Operate pavement marking trucks
- →Operate forklifts and loaders
- →Load/unload materials
- →Lay out and pre-mark on new and existing asphalt
- →Set up/take down traffic control, as per OTM book7
- →Maintain accurate documentation – driver logs, fuel records, time sheets and daily work logs
- →Book hotels, organize materials, plan daily routes and track of inventory
- →Liaison with MTO and other clients
- →Other duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- Previous experience operating highway line-striping trucks, an asset
- Flexibility and organizational skills to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Ability to perform minor repairs on the equipment, an asset
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Class D commercial license with air brake endorsement (Z)
- Excellent team player to work productively in a highly functional team
- Willingness to learn and appreciate Miller Values - safety, quality and integrity so we can continue “Building Greatness”
- Willingness to work assigned day and night shifts, including weekday/weekends
- Ability to travel and extended stays, when required
