Wapiti Gravel Suppliers | Concrete Labourer

Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, the Concrete Labourer is responsible for providing physical labour support to perform a wide variety of tasks throughout all phases of concrete construction.

• →Prepare job site for pouring of concrete by removing obstacles or debris.
• →Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
• →Assist in the set up preparation of concrete by placing and aligning forms and molds.
• →Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using hand tools and machines as specified by blueprints, project plans and/or verbal instructions.
• →Clean forms, molds and tools as required.
• →Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
• →Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with, the principles of the Code of Ethics.
• →Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Class 5 Drivers License preferred
• Previous experience working with a concrete finishing crew is considered an asset

• Weather dependent schedule of Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation.
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
• Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
• Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
