About You

You are a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional with a passion for commercial real estate and a strong foundation in financial underwriting. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where accuracy, efficiency, and meeting deadlines are essential.

You are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. You bring strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.

As a Multifamily Financial Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting a high-performing multifamily investment sales brokerage team, providing comprehensive financial analysis, property valuations, and underwriting for multifamily investment opportunities. You will also contribute to the preparation of Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs), Offering Memorandums (OMs), and other client-facing materials that support business development and successful transactions.

Prior experience underwriting commercial real estate is required; multifamily underwriting experience is strongly preferred.

In This Role, You Will…

  • Financial Underwriting & Modeling: Perform detailed financial underwriting and valuation of multifamily investment properties, including cash flow projections, investment returns, sensitivity analyses, and sophisticated Excel-based financial models.
  • Property & Market Analysis: Analyze historical operating statements, rent rolls, budgets, leases, comparable sales, and market conditions to develop accurate underwriting assumptions and property valuations.
  • Investment Marketing & Transaction Support: Prepare financial analyses and supporting materials for Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs), Offering Memorandums (OMs), investment proposals, and client presentations.
  • Market Research: Research multifamily market trends, rental rates, operating expenses, capitalization rates, and investment activity to support valuations and business development initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Client Service: Work closely with brokers and team members to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial analyses that support client investment decisions and transaction execution.
  • Project Management & Quality Control: Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, maintain exceptional attention to detail, meet demanding deadlines, and ensure accuracy and consistency across all financial deliverables.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial models, streamline analytical processes, and improve overall team efficiency and productivity.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience underwriting commercial real estate properties is required; multifamily underwriting experience is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including developing complex financial models, cash flow projections, and investment return analyses.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation methodologies, financial statements, and investment metrics.
  • Experience analyzing rent rolls, operating statements, market comparables, and property-level financial performance.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and collaborative approach, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience with ARGUS or other real estate financial modeling platforms is a plus.
