Colonial Surety Company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and manage a team of Contract Surety Producers throughout the Northeast region.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, expanding our direct client base, and building a high-performing sales organization. The ideal candidate is an energetic and results-oriented leader with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing successful sales professionals.
Your leadership will play a critical role in helping Colonial Surety achieve its growth objectives while creating a culture of accountability, professionalism, and sales excellence.
This position is based at Colonial Surety Company's corporate headquarters with travel requirements for field calls.
Professional business attire is required.
Candidates should be prepared to work closely with sales staff, management, and cross-functional teams in a collaborative office environment.
Requirements

- A minimum of five (5) years of sales leadership experience
- Supervisory experience in direct B2B field sales
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience in sales training and professional selling techniques
- Excellent organizational, activity management, and time management skills, with a proven ability to exceed performance goals
- An understanding of business financial statements; a background in accounting is a plus
- Insurance sales experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities

- →Leading and managing a team of 8 to 10 remote Contract Surety Producers
- →Coaching, supervising, and providing ongoing training in technical product knowledge, competitive positioning, and professional sales skills
- →Recruiting, selecting, developing, and directing sales personnel to meet and exceed corporate objectives
- →Monitoring sales performance against forecasts and implementing corrective action when necessary
- →Working closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Underwriting, and Customer Support, to maximize sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction
- →Driving new business production and consistently exceeding revenue goals
- →Managing the onboarding process for new customers and monitoring sales activity to ensure a positive customer experience
- →Maintaining a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, growth, and results
