Position Type: Salaried + Performance-Based Bonus

 

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern

 

Reports to: Analytical & Claims Manager

 

Summary/Objective:

Supports R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory by analyzing products and developing methods to advance Colonial Chemical's analytical capabilities. Also, responsible for developing and executing a preventative maintenance plan for the all chromatographic instruments within R&D and the Quality departments.

 

Essential Functions

  • Provide analytical support for the R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory groups
  • Develop methods based on feedback from customers and/or regulatory as needed. Work with the Quality department on method transfer and training.
  • Perform all maintenance on chromatographic analytical equipment
  • Develop and execute a maintenance plan for the HPLC, GC, GPC and other chromatographic analytical equipment for both the R&D and Quality departments.
  • Be able to work and communicate effectively with personnel from multiple departments.
  • Interact with sales representatives and customers to address technical issues and explore innovations
  • Support other quality related initiatives as assigned by your supervisor.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

 

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
  • 2 years' experience in a chemical laboratory
  • Surfactant chemistry a plus
