About the Role:

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in Orinda, CA. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized, in-home care that promotes dignity and independence. Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation
Follow individualized care plans to ensure consistent, high-quality personal care

Requirements:

Prior experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or caregiver preferred
Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly or disabled individuals
Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plan instructions
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Must pass a background check and meet state requirements for home care aides in California
