No Security License? No Problem!
To work in security in BC, a license is required, but we’re here to support you! Through our Licensing Support Program, we will:
- Cover the upfront cost of your Basic Security Training (BST)
- Pay for your licensing exam and first-year BC Security Worker License
- Provide support and guidance every step of the way
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
- →Provide access control and security foot/mobile patrols as needed.
- →Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
- →Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
- →Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
- →Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
- →Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
- →Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
- →Perform all duties with high safety standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Posses a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to remain alert while on duty.
- Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
- Must complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course
- Be willing to obtain a BC security worker's license.
- Be comfortable using computers.
- Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
- Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
- Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
- Have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
