CommQuest seeks a part-time or full-time Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant / Resiliency Coach. This role provides supportive interventions, including social-emotional curriculum lessons, consultation, and training for young children (ages birth-6), early childcare staff, and families in participating early childhood and public pre-K classrooms through the Childhood Resiliency Program (early childhood mental health consultation - ECMHC). Each Resiliency Coach has the responsibility of maintaining uniformly high quality service to ensure maximum benefits to program participants. The individual must have strong communication skills with both children and adults, enjoy helping others, be organized, energetic and enthusiastic, maintain a family-oriented advocacy role, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. A commitment to the philosophy and practice of resiliency and capacity to build developmentally appropriate and supportive environments is expected.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide supportive interventions with young children.
- →Implement strength-based and trauma sensitive resiliency and skill building curriculum in assigned early childcare programs.
- →Provide consultation and behavior intervention services at teacher/program request.
- →Lead and/or co-lead parent training groups and child curriculum groups.
- →Provide parent consultations and strengthen parent involvement.
- →All other duties as assigned
M-F, some evenings may be required
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field is required
- Previous experience in early childhood or elementary education settings is highly desired
- Previous work experience in working with students in a school setting (Pre-K through 12th) is highly preferred
- Must have valid Driver's License, proof of auto insurance, a good driving record, and a personal vehicle
- Resiliency Coach staff will be expected to make progress toward obtaining and maintain the Early Childhood Mental Health Credential.
- Must complete Child Abuse training course.
- Must complete training in trauma informed care, curriculum programs, and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation.
