Salary Range: Based on Experience

Contract Lumber is looking for a Load Checker (Quality Control) to join our team in (location)! This person will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of lumber and building materials before delivery or installation. You’ll help maintain high standards across the yard by inspecting loads, identifying defects, and promoting a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. 

Day to Day 

• Inspect outgoing loads for accuracy and quality before delivery. 

• Monitor and assess incoming lumber and building materials for damage or defects. 

• Work closely with Load Builders and Drivers to ensure proper handling and storage of materials. 

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard. 

• Document and report any quality issues or inconsistencies. 

• Have fun and enjoy what you do! 

Skill Set 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

• Great attitude and a team player. 

• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

• Ability to identify and resolve quality issues quickly and effectively. 

• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. 

• Familiarity with lumber and building materials is a plus.
