Shipping Associate / Product Handler

Position Title: Shipping Associate / Product Handler   Position Location:  Oconomowoc, WI (Onsite)   Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST   Reports to: Manager, Configuration Operations   Job Summary: As a Product Handler, you play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of products within our organization. The primary responsibility is to kit and fill orders. Orders consist of IT related equipment to be boxed, tagged and shipped via Fed Ex, UPS, or local delivery.   We are looking for someone who has a great attitude to join our team!   FLSA Status: Non-Exempt   Essential Functions: Prepares work site by obtaining and delivering equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.  Identifies and verifies shipments against purchase orders, receiving new parts into inventory, stages inventory according to company standards, reports inventory variances, and participates in physical inventories.  Pulls and stages orders from inventory.  Labels customer assets, including the careful application and recording of asset tags to create critical asset records for our customers.  Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and providing timely updates and complete documentation for open production work orders to ensure service level standards are met.  Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through problem solving, preventing defects, and workflow innovation recommendations. Participates in regular staff meetings and communicates relevant information.  Other duties as assigned.   Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   Ethical and Critical Thinking. Aptitude and enthusiasm for technology. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Ability to function and manage priorities well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.  Willingness to work overtime when necessary. Warehouse environment.   Education and Experience: 1-3 years of general labor or customer service experience.   Valid driver’s license.   Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
