~1 min readCormac Solutions operate their own in-house vehicle and plant maintenance workshops within three locations across Cornwall. We are seeking a Vehicle/Plant Technician to cover the service, inspection and maintenance of light and heavy plant equipment.
The bulk of our work is the maintenance of the Councils’ extensive and varied plant equipment ranging from chainsaws to Rubblemaster rock crushers. We also support a number of external companies by providing a maintenance service for their plant and this is a key growth area of our business.
Flexibility and adaptability are required to meet customer expectations and service demands including working overtime and participation in an on-call rota. The workload is varied and will cover electrical tasks and fault diagnosis. You will be required to complete documentation accurately and promptly and abide by our zero harm health and safety policy. This role offers the successful applicant a very diverse and interesting workload.

- The successful candidate will be qualified to NVQ 3 or equivalent and be able to evidence competency for this role.
- You are expected to provide your own comprehensive tool kit in order to carry out the role (CORMAC provide large tools and equipment).
- You will work as part of a team, be prepared to work overtime and be part of an on-call rota.
- You will possess good communication skills, have good levels of numeracy and literacy and be competent in handling documentation.
- A full UK LGV driving licence is desirable and competence in electronic fault diagnosis will be an advantage.

Salary: £35,588.09
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
