Security Deposit Specialist

What We Need   Corpay is currently looking to hire a Security Deposit Specialist within our ALE Solutions division. This position falls under our Lodging line of business and is located in St. Charles, IL. In this role, you will contribute to the department’s efficiency by maintaining accuracy throughout claim files and working on behalf of the policyholder to resolve disputes and damage claims. You will manage tasks and consistency across all files to ensure a correct financial total at the end of the placement. You will report directly to the Security Deposit Supervisor and regularly collaborate with landlords, furniture companies, and insurance companies.   How We Work   As a Security Deposit Specialist, Corpay will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in St. Charles, IL office Company-issued equipment Formal, hands-on training   Role Responsibilities   The responsibilities of the role will include: Maintaining a daily tracking log of file assignments using ACT tasks Recording detailed notes of verbal and written correspondence (documenting names/phone numbers of conversations held) in ACT database Maintaining electronic and paper files to ensure status accuracy Collecting security deposits from landlords immediately following move-out Dispersing deposit refunds for property and furniture to insured or insurance companies Assisting insureds as needed in disputing deductions with the landlord Auditing files to verify billing and payments were issued correctly Working to resolve any billing issues and collect back landlord overpayments as needed Issuing billing credits or balance reductions as needed based on adjuster requests Notifying insureds of charges for damages to rental furniture and assisting with disputing charges for insured Collecting unpaid balances or furniture damages over deposit held from insured as needed Assisting as necessary with the day-to-day security deposit process   Qualifications & Skills   High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1-2 years of job-related experience preferred Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook ACT database experience a plus Excellent verbal & written communication skills, be very organized, have strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and be a team player Attention to detail and accuracy are critical skills for this position Exhibits strong business acumen and sound judgement Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships among team members in the course of work Ability to assist coworkers with tasks   Benefits & Perks   Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire Automatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements) Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide Robust PTO offerings including: major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, & volunteer time Employee discounts with major providers (i.e., wireless, gym, car rental, etc.) Philanthropic support with both local and national organizations Fun culture with company-wide contests and prizes   Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer Corpay is an Equal Opportunity Employer. At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
