Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Field Testing Specialist based in York, Nebraska. The Field Testing Specialist position will serve as an integral team member of a comprehensive research station providing support for all station operations. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience about the agriculture industry and a high aptitude for attention to detail What You’ll Do: How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you! * Support the York Research Center operations with multi crop seed filling, seed preparation and data collection. * Skilled in operating planting, harvesting, and spray equipment as well as specialized remote sensing equipment. * Agronomic knowledge of weed control and plot maintenance. * Collect data and assess data quality. * Assist with experiment planning and mapping. * Supervise part-time employee crews to complete field activities according to protocols. * Availability for overtime during peak seasons of planting and harvest. * 100% site dedicated position. What You Need: * Bachelor or Associate degree in agriculture or scientific related field plus 2-4 years industry related experience. * Keen knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design. * Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrate excellent communication/personal interaction skills to foster teamwork, enhance a positive work environment, and effectively develop strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people. * Experience and skills with computers and data management. * Experience operating planting and harvest equipment including electronics, GPS systems and data collection systems. * Demonstrate skills in leadership, operational safety, supervision, and time management. * Must be capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time. * Ability to obtain appropriate pesticide applicator license/certification. * Valid drivers license required ** Please note there is no relocation or visa sponsorship available for this position.
