This is a nonexempt role reporting to the director.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, schedule, and develop team members while addressing performance concerns.
  • Plan and assign work based on project schedules, quality and shipping requirements, and operational priorities.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity, inspect work, maintain records, and provide progress updates to the director.
  • Oversee packaging materials, labeling, documentation, quality checks, and completion according to project and customer requirements.
  • Supervise inbound and outbound scheduling, loading and unloading, carrier coordination, quantity and condition verification, and resolution of discrepancies or damage claims.
  • Keep materials and finished goods organized, protected, secured, and routed appropriately.
  • Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance, work orders, and inspections; oversee custodial activities, vendors, and repair work.
  • Review timecards and time-off requests, enforce safety and company policies, order materials, and improve work processes.
  • Train employees on equipment, material handling, shipping and receiving, housekeeping, and safety procedures.

What You Offer

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of related supervisory experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT, to operate company pickup trucks with trailers.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, communication, organization, and team-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and flexibility as project priorities change.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
  • Experience using hand tools, small power tools, multimeters, and test equipment.
  • Construction-related experience, four or more years of division-specific experience, and relevant certifications are preferred.

Physical Requirements & Schedule

This active production-shop role regularly requires standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Must lift up to 90 lbs. at specified heights; carry 50 lbs. for 50 ft.; push a 100-lb. wheeled cart for 100 ft.; and drag 50 lbs. for 100 ft.

The environment may include odors, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate-to-loud machinery noise.

Overtime may be required; a compressed 40-hour workweek may be available.

This role directly influences employee outcomes, safety, work quality, customer satisfaction, and the smooth operation of our logistics and building/grounds functions.
