Responsibilities

  1. This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.  
  2. A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.  
  3. A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email (recruitingops@coupang.com). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.  
  4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.  
  5. The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable. 

Requirements

  • Architect and own the long-term global network strategy, capacity modeling, and topology for Coupang’s end-to-end cross-border logistics and fulfillment network.  

  • Drive cross-border infrastructure expansion roadmaps, optimizing linehaul routes, ocean/air freight networks, and destination last-mile integrations to support scale.  

  • Improve the PDD (Promised Delivery Date) and the consistency of the delivery   

  • Establish network governance models and throughput forecasting to systematically identify capacity bottlenecks and enforce structural operational resilience.  

  • Executive-level ownership of global vendor relationships across international carriers, freight forwarders, fulfillment partners, and customs brokerage networks.  

  • Establish executive sponsorship frameworks and QBR standards with key global logistics partners to maximize service quality, accountability, and capacity commitments.  

  • Lead strategic procurement strategy, key commercial contract negotiations, multi-year rate structures, and executive escalation protocols.  

  • Expand global logistics ecosystem by vetting and integrating emerging 3PL/4PL capabilities into existing supply chain assets.  

  • Initiate programs to increase speed (e.g. PDD improvement, night-time custom clearance), lower cost (e.g. global shipback center) with innovative approach  

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional supply chain transformations.  

  • Define program portfolio governance, high-level milestone structures, enterprise resource allocation, and risk-mitigation strategies.  

  • Drive alignment across C-suite and VP-level stakeholders spanning Operations, Product, Tech, Procurement, and Finance to execute business-critical initiatives.  

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Global Logistics, or International Network Planning, with proven executive/director-level leadership.

  • Demonstrated expertise in global supply chain network design, capacity modeling, and international freight/fulfillment topology.  

  • Deep experience in supply chain financial management, VCPU reduction initiatives, and vendor billing audit controls.

  • Expert knowledge of cross-border trade compliance, customs regulations, and import/export operations specifically covering Korea and Taiwan.

  • Proven track record of managing high-volume 3PL/carrier networks, contract negotiations, and multi-million-dollar logistics P&Ls.

  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities in high-growth environments.  

  • Bilingual fluency in Korean and English. 

 

  • Experience in fast-paced cross-border eCommerce, retail marketplace, consulting, or tech-driven global logistics organizations.

  • Strong understanding of Korea's logistics and supply chain ecosystem.

  • Experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders, carriers, customs operations, and fulfillment networks.

  • Proven success leading supply chain transformation and network optimization initiatives.

  • Experience building executive-level partnerships with strategic logistics vendors.

  • Strong project governance and operational excellence background.

  • Experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment. 

 

  • Own the global logistics P&L cost architecture, establishing target outcomes for Variable Cost Per Unit (VCPU) reduction across fulfillment, freight, and destination delivery. 

  • Spearhead cross-functional cost-out steering committees to systematically eliminate financial waste, optimize container/load utilization, and improve unit margin profiles. 

  • Oversee multi-market billing audit controls, financial reconciliation systems, and vendor payables governance to protect bottom-line integrity. 

  • Set the strategic vision and regulatory governance for cross-border trade operations into core growth markets, specifically Korea and Taiwan. 

  • Build enterprise-grade trade compliance models ensuring adherence to regional import/export mandates, tariff classifications, valuations, and customs policies. 

  • Cultivate strategic engagement models with regulatory bodies and customs authorities in Korea and Taiwan to streamline border clearance throughput. 

  • Monitor global trade developments, tariff policies, and free-trade agreements to proactively optimize duty management and operational risk.
