Senior Integration Engineer

Senior Integration Engineer Job Purpose The Senior Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade integration solutions across the organization's application landscape. This role provides technical leadership within the integration team, drives best practices, mentors junior engineers, and ensures scalable, secure, and maintainable API and integration solutions. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in MuleSoft, API-led connectivity, enterprise integration patterns, and modern software engineering practices. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Architecture Design scalable and reusable integration solutions using API-led connectivity principles. Produce high-quality technical artifacts including solution designs, sequence diagrams, API specifications, and integration patterns. Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards. Review and challenge solution designs to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability. API & Integration Development Develop and maintain MuleSoft APIs, integrations, and reusable assets. Design and implement System, Process, and Experience APIs. Integrate with various technologies including: Mainframe systems Salesforce Databases SFTP platforms REST/SOAP services Third-party vendor solutions Implement robust error handling, monitoring, logging, and observability practices. Drive API reusability and standardization across domains. Technical Leadership Provide technical mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers. Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards. Guide the team on integration best practices and emerging technologies. Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production incidents. Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues. Minimum Qualifications MuleSoft Certified Developer (preferred but not mandatory). MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (advantageous). Relevant cloud certifications are advantageous. Experience Required 6+ years software engineering experience. 4+ years enterprise integration experience. 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft development experience. Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise APIs. Experience integrating with legacy and modern platforms. Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.
