POSITION SUMMARY
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs and oversees daily warehouse operations within assigned areas to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely receiving, storage, selection, and shipping of product.
- Establishes and adjusts daily work assignments and schedules based on staffing, workload, warehouse priorities, and operational needs, and coordinates the timing, location, and completion of assigned tasks by direct reports.
- Ensures payroll information and adjustments for associates are accurate, timely, and properly documented.
- Maintains knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control processes, warehouse equipment, and distribution center operations.
- Promotes and maintains a strong safety-first culture throughout the Distribution Center.
- Ensures associates comply with Company safety policies, OSHA requirements, required PPE standards, safe work practices, and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Conducts routine safety audits, observations, inspections, and follow-up activities to identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
- Promotes an injury-prevention mindset and proactively reduces workplace accidents and incidents
- Responds promptly to workplace emergencies, accidents, near misses, and other incidents.
- Participates in accident and incident investigations and completes required documentation accurately and timely.
- Ensures associates comply with Company policies and procedures, including attendance, scheduling, call-in, dress code, safety, and Associate Handbook requirements, and monitors attendance, punctuality, and adherence to assigned schedules.
- Addresses attendance and performance concerns promptly through appropriate coaching, counseling, and corrective action.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation related to attendance, performance, conduct, safety, and other associate matters.
- Takes timely corrective action consistent with Company policy and established progressive discipline procedures.
- Provides management with recommendations regarding promotions, wage increases, performance improvement, and terminations, as appropriate.
- Applies Company policies and procedures consistently, fairly, and professionally.
- Provides clear direction, guidance, coaching, and feedback to associates on an ongoing basis.
- Conducts regular one-on-one coaching and performance discussions with direct reports.
- Recognizes and reinforces positive performance and accomplishments in a timely manner.
- Fosters a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment through effective communication, engagement, recognition, and teamwork.
- Leads by example and demonstrates professionalism, accountability, integrity, and respect in all interactions.
- Acts as a liaison between Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Human Resources, customers, carriers, and other applicable departments to support quality service and operational continuity.
- Communicates effectively with peers and other members of management through the ongoing exchange of information and coordination of shared operational objectives.
- Escalates operational issues, customer concerns, staffing challenges, safety matters, and other significant issues to appropriate management.
- Maintains professional and effective working relationships with associates, peers, management, customers, carriers, and other business partners.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional supervisory or leadership training preferred. In the absence of formal education, directly related experience demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be substituted.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar high-volume operational environment.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in shipping operations within a conventional or mechanized warehouse environment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing operational priorities, and holding associates accountable for performance and compliance.
- Knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order selection, and shipping.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory processes, equipment, and Powered Industrial Trucks.
- Knowledge of refrigerated, perishable, and grocery warehouse products and applicable handling requirements.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, OSHA, food safety, and Company compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); familiarity with warehouse management and business systems preferred.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management, both orally and in writing.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop associates while building teamwork, cooperation, and engagement.
- Prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Apply Company policies and procedures consistently and fairly, using sound judgment and discretion.
- Identify operational and safety concerns and take timely corrective action.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to associate performance, attendance, safety, training, and operations.
- Collaborate effectively across departments to achieve facility and Company objectives.
- Work effectively in Dry, Chill/Perishable, and Freezer temperature-controlled warehouse environments.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing operational priorities and business needs.
SALARY
$70,500 - $80,500 per year
SCHEDULE
- Position 1 - AM Shift, 7am Start Time – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday – Sunday/Thursday Off
- Position 2 - PM Shift, 5pm Start Time - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - Monday/Tuesday Off
