Senior Commercial Lead – Mining & Industrial Markets

Copper Quail Global is supporting an international business supplying essential products and technical solutions to the mining and industrial sectors with the appointment of a senior commercial professional in Botswana. The role will focus on developing new business, growing strategic customer relationships and leading major commercial opportunities across the local market. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a strong pipeline of mining and industrial opportunities. Build long-term relationships with major customers, contractors and industry stakeholders. Identify opportunities across new projects, expansions and existing operations. Lead commercial proposals, tenders and contract negotiations. Grow and retain strategic customer accounts. Work closely with supply, operations and technical teams to develop customer solutions. Monitor market activity, competitor movements and future developments. Drive sustainable revenue growth and commercial performance. Candidate Profile Relevant degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, Sales or a related discipline. 8–10+ years’ experience in commercial management, business development or key account management. Strong exposure to the Botswana mining and industrial market. Experience selling fuels, industrial products, equipment, technical services or related solutions. Strong tendering, negotiation and strategic relationship-management skills. Good understanding of pricing, profitability and commercial risk. Established relationships within mining or heavy industry will be highly advantageous.
