How you'll make an impact:
As an Accounts Officer at CreditBook, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will oversee financial transactions, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
Specifically, the key responsibilities will include:
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
- Tax Compliance: Stay updated with income tax and sales tax regulations, ensuring all financial activities comply with current laws and filing requirements.
- ERP Management: Utilise QuickBooks ERP for accurate posting of financial entries and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial procedures and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and product, to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights into financial transactions.
- Lending Operation Support: Support teammates in lending operations.
- Payments: Ensure timely processing of payments, reimbursements, and disbursements.
- Banking: Execute fund transfers (IFT and IBFT) accurately and ensure timely updates of bank books.
What we'd love to see:
- Education: Bachelor/Master degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the fintech or technology sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks ERP and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of income tax and sales tax regulations in Pakistan.
- Team Orientation: Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
