Electronic Technician A - $36.64/hour

• →Installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• →Use appropriate test instruments to diagnose and locate the trouble and make needed repairs.
• →Works from complicated schematic diagrams, drawings and specifications involving complex circuitry.
• →Works closely with and coordinates procedures with engineers and mechanics on the installation or relocation of equipment.
• →May replace or modify programmable logic controllers (PLC’s). 
• →Establish work procedures and issuance of instructions to Electronic Technician “B” or helpers. 
• →Work with general supervision and may provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.
• →Supply own tools as directed by supervision

• →Report labor and job data accurately.
• →Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
• →Maintain clean and neat work area.
• →Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Occasionally exposed to noise, odors, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, drafts, vibration, electricity and heights. Hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection are required. May require the handling of hazardous waste.
