The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading a high-performing maintenance team that delivers safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The Maintenance Manager builds team capability, drives accountability, and partners cross-functionally to support production, customer needs, and asset performance.
Requirements

- Strong background in industrial maintenance (mechanical/electrical systems)
- Experience with CMMS systems and work order processes
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Process oriented, results driven
- Technology –Efficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point, Word), and able to use them to communicate priorities, issues and opportunities
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Associate degree or higher in a technical field
- Experience with packaging or automated manufacturing systems
- Lean / CI experience (TPM, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Project management and capital installation experience
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Foster a proactive safety culture in all maintenance activities
- Ensure full compliance with:
- OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, confined space, hot work, working at heights
- Ensure all maintenance work is executed safely and equipment operates safely
- Lead safety observations and risk elimination efforts
- Maintain strong 5S and housekeeping standards across all maintenance areas
- Ensure all equipment supports consistent, quality output
- Support investigations into quality issues and corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with internal standards, audits, and applicable regulation
- Ensure equipment is set up and maintained to support efficient production
- Support production start-ups, transitions, and troubleshooting in real time
- Champion continuous improvement using Lean / CI tools
- Provide technical input on equipment design, upgrades, and process
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians into a high-performing team
- Build technical capability through structured training and skill development
- Set clear goals and expectations for performance, accountability, and work quality
- Identify and develop future leaders within the team
- Drive engagement, recognition, and a culture of ownership
- Partner with Site Operations, Engineering and Corporate Teams to support the site
- Own and execute the site maintenance strategy, including:
- Preventive Maintenance (PM)
- Predictive / condition-based maintenance (as applicable)
- Ensure all PMs and work orders are completed safely, on time, and correctly
- Drive improvements in equipment uptime, reliability, and responsiveness
- Lead troubleshooting and ensure rapid, effective resolution of equipment issues
- Perform and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Reduce repeat failures and unplanned downtime through structured problem-solving
- Own and improve the CMMS
- Work orders, PM schedules, asset history, and spare parts
- Ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activity and downtime
- stablish strong planning and scheduling discipline aligned to production needs
- Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory to support uptime
- Use data and trends to prioritize work and drive decision-making
- Support capital projects, installations, and equipment upgrades
- Participate in design reviews, commissioning, and launch readiness
- Evaluate new technologies that improve safety, reliability, or productivity
- Manage vendors, contractors, and external technical resources as needed
- Manage maintenance budget, repair costs, and service spending
- Understand and provide ROI or other financial analysis when needed
- Optimize cost through effective parts sourcing and vendor management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through reliability improvements

- Asset Essentials or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Nulogy or other Shop Floor Management system (SFM)
- UKG or other Workforce Management system (WFM)
- Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel and Word skills
- Qualtrax or other Quality Management System (QMS)
- NetSuite or other procurement management system
- Equipment support software applications:
- LABELVIEW or other label design software
- PLC programming software
- HMI programming software
- Robot programming software
- CAD experience is a plus
