Office Move Specialist (Mover)| Gainsville

Works in collaboration with other crew members to service move projects for office, industrial, museum, laboratory or other assigned move projects including assisting with moving, packing, wrapping, inventory, and transport of goods for commercial  customers. Work may involve moving, storage, packing, loading, and transport of office equipment or other industrial equipment for commercial relocation services.​

• →Assists with the pickup (loading), transportation, and delivery (unloading and placement) of a full array of clients' goods in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• →Routinely lifts, carries, moves, and places heavy items by hand or with the assistance of material handling equipment.
• →Receives instruction from onsite leader (Move Manager or Project Manager) or designee and adheres to all company policies and safety protocols.
• →Packs, unpacks, wraps and unwraps high value/fragile/non-fragile items as directed.
• →Uses safety techniques to carry furniture and equipment correctly.
• →Works with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
• →Ensures that proper protection is placed in appropriate places (ex. walls and other items).
• →Displays working knowledge of packing materials and when to use each.
• →Understands the chain of command.
• →Applies moving industry and Company terminology to perform projects and tasks.
• →Exhibits the Company’s “Core Values”.
• →Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Must be a self-starter, capable of operating with minimal direction or supervision.
• Candidates must have good communication skills and be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a routine basis.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with other crew members, clients, and move coordinators.
• Reliable, punctual and available for flexible work schedules.
