The Manager, Office Administration & Tribal Career Programs is a multifaceted role that provides critical support to the Board of Directors, oversees daily office operations in the Cordova location, and leads community engagement activities for the Tribal Career Exploration Program. This position serves as a key administrative resource to the Board by coordinating meetings, preparing materials, managing communication, and arranging travel and expense-related activities. Additionally, the role ensures smooth and professional office functioning while building strong, positive relationships with tribal members, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
This position requires exceptional organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. This is a full‑time position located in Cordova, AK, offering a salary range of $55,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience, and includes full‑time benefits.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Administrative & Board Support
- Provide high‑level administrative support to the Board of Directors, including scheduling, preparing meeting materials, managing correspondence, and coordinating logistics.
- Arrange Board travel, including itineraries, lodging, and transportation, and assist with completing and submitting expense reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Coordinate communication among Board members, staff, tribal members, and external partners.
Office Management
- Support final office setup and organization to ensure the space, equipment, and materials are prepared for daily operations and program activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Cordova office by answering general inquiries, greeting visitors, and supporting walk‑ins.
- Maintain a consistent on‑site presence to provide administrative and program assistance as needed.
- Ensure a professional, welcoming office environment and monitor visitor access to support office security.
- Assist with planning and coordinating office events, meetings, and community engagements.
- Manage office operations including supplies, mail, basic technology needs, and vendor coordination.
Tribal Career Exploration Program Coordination
- Promote the Career Exploration Program in the Cordova community through outreach, events, and relationship‑building.
- Build and maintain relationships with tribal members, community leaders, and local organizations to increase program awareness and participation.
- Assist with organizing informational sessions and outreach activities to educate potential participants about available opportunities.
- Support recruitment by encouraging applications and assisting individuals in understanding eligibility and the application process.
- Serve as a local point of contact for basic program questions and direct individuals to appropriate resources.
- Gather informal feedback from participants and community members to support continuous improvement of outreach efforts and program visibility.
Essential Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in administrative support, office management, program coordination, or a related role.
- Experience working within tribal communities.
- Knowledge of NVE tribal culture.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings and handle shifting priorities.
- Experience coordinating travel and preparing or reviewing expense reports preferred.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient with office software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams).
- Travel may be required up to approximately 25–30% of the time.
