The role of Paralegal at Sutton Law Firm is critical to maintaining the firm's commitment to excellence in family law. We are seeking an experienced Florida Registered Paralegal who can seamlessly manage a demanding caseload, supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional legal representation. This role is integral in alleviating operational burdens from our legal team, ensuring efficient case management, and providing vital support to our clients during what are often emotionally charged proceedings.

 

Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Independently handle a high-volume family law caseload, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, review, and e-file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
  • File Organization: Maintain detailed and organized case files for efficient access and audit readiness.
  • Deadline Tracking: Manage firm and court deadlines, ensuring all timelines are adhered to without exception.
  • Attorney Preparation: Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, and trials, including exhibit preparation.
  • Client Communication: Engage with clients professionally, maintaining empathy while managing sensitive cases.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to court rules and procedural requirements in all matters.
  • FRP Certification: Must possess an active Florida Registered Paralegal license in good standing.
  • Family Law Experience: Must have meaningful experience in family law; general civil or PI experience will not suffice.
  • Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced boutique firm setting.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple case files with precision and attention to detail.
  • Professionalism: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
  • Emotional Resilience: Confidence in handling emotionally challenging situations with stability and grace.
  • Autonomous Workflow: Capable of working independently, anticipating needs, and moving cases forward proactively.
